Head of MVH Training Center
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to L&D MVH the Head of the MVH Training Center will oversee, coordinate and facilitate the smooth running and development of the Training Center. Successfully execute the defined strategy and provide feedback to the relevant councils. Overseeing and managing the budget in close cooperation with Finance will be a critical part of this role. Together with a support team you will ensure the high technical and scientific quality of the content and course structure. As the role includes also operational tasks it will be necessary for you to have your residence in the vicinity of Milan.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONIBILITIES
- Contribute to the Development of a training strategy for the year in collaboration with the Medical Affairs teams, L&D teams and Nursing Councils, with clear Learning objectives and Success measures.
- Establish and maintain the relationship to the owner of the facility.
- Responsibility for all facility maintenance, management and staff support.
- Plan, discuss and get approval for needed refurbishments of the facility.
- Oversee Preparation, Execution and Post-Processing of all courses during the year.
- Responsibility for the Accreditation of all courses hosted at the Training Center.
- To deliver support and propose alternative training solutions with Programme Directors to reduce the need for the use of cadavers.
- Ensure instructors are properly prepared to facilitate training classes with knowledge of the facility, equipment within the facility and proper materials.
- To liaise with the Steering Committee of the Center to determine training strategy and education needs from the various Business Units
- To liaise with country L&D leads to identify needs and priorities from the different countries. Including language preferences.
- To liaise with other Training Center leads from MVH to exchange experiences and align training strategies across the MVH Group.
- To work together with Leads for Specialist Training of the different Business Units and align on training strategy and involvement of specialists in the trainings.
- To facilitate collaboration with other education providers like Improve International, ESAVS etc. in alignment with the Medical Affairs and L&D Teams.

Further information
Experience: At least 15 years of experience in clinical veterinary practice, including 10 years of working with or amongst veterinary specialists undergoing training e.g., during an internship or residency training programme.
Knowledge: Fluent in English, and preferably Italian oral and written. Have a thorough understanding of Learning and Finance related topics. Understanding of continuing education and specialist training programmes in the veterinary profession. Understand veterinary career pathways.
Qualifications: Degree in veterinary medicine.
Skills & Abilities: Highly organised; Engaging enthusiastic approach to training; Team player with good stakeholder management; Can work on own initiative.
Leadership skills: leading a team providing direction and guidance in clear manner.
Other qualities: Very good communicator, Ability to create strong relationships with various stakeholders.
